My Favorite Disney Quick Service Dishes
Because quick service meals aren't generally planned - we typically recommend eating wherever you happen to be when you get hungry for those meals - we do get a lot of "what QS do you recommend?" type emails. Neither Nicolette or I have eaten everything on every menu of course, but here are some of my current favorites. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going out of your way for them, but if you're in the neighborhood when the need to nosh hits ...
Backlot Express (Hollywood Studios) - Caprese Sandwich I'm a sucker for all things caprese. This sandwich has a thick but soft ciabatta bun, marinated mozzarella, tomato, and a herbed cheese pesto spread topped with arugula. Oh how I adore arugula! Funny side story ... I put arugula in the salad I made for Christmas dinner and my 94 yr old grandmother thought we were trying to feed her grass. LOL!
Pinocchio Village Haus (Magic Kingdom) - Caprese Flatbread Like I said, sucker for caprese. This thin and crisp "pizza" has a balsamic reduction drizzled over it and that makes the meal for me!
Captain Cook's (Polynesian) - Aloha Pork Sandwich Pulled Pork on a brioche bun with cheddar, Asian slaw, cucumbers, and tomatoes served with choice of french fries, house-made chips, Asian slaw or steamed vegetables. I did a video review of this one in August. And yes, I absolutely love it as much as I said I did.
Woody's Lunch Box (HS) - Raspberry Lunch Box Tart This isn't really a breakfast unto itself (not big enough), but it's a must add-on to any meal at the Lunch Box IMO. This is another item I did a video review on in August. I totally fell in love with this little better-than-a-Pop Tart nibble.
Satu'li Canteen (AK) - Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse (pictured at the top) I'm trying to keep this list to non-dessert items, and I do like the food here as well, but the real stand out is definitely this mousse. It is divine! My daughter did a video review of this treat topped with an amazing passion fruit curd (almost steals the show it's so good) and tiny meringue. You simply must try it!
